{Miracles Week} Stop and smell the Roses.

Miracles WEEK image

Written By: Amy Gauvin

Hello Ladies.  🙂  I hope all of you are enjoying this gorgeous day! When I was asked to write about miracles, a lot went through my mind at this point in my life, of where I want to see one. I prayed for God to give me a wonderful testimony to share! As they days went on, nothing was happening (as it seemed). I wanted this huge miracle to happen, how hard was that, right? He is God of the impossible! With Him all things are possible! I realized in my heart, I was putting an expectation on my miracle. I wasn’t seeing what He has done already. I was wanting it out of the flesh, naturally so; we are all human. Watching my sister go through what she is going through (fighting cancer a second time), my heart’s cry for HER miracle to be healed was so dear to me. I want this miracle more than anything in the world!

As I laid in bed on Wednesday night, I prayed for God to please show me that miracle. I woke on Thursday morning, at 6:30am, to the most amazing sunrise that beamed through my window and kissed my face good morning. God showed me that my miracle was right here.  I receive it everyday when I wake up in the morning! I was so focused on “my” plans and how “I” wanted things to play out. His mercies are NEW every morning! I wasn’t being thankful of the blessings He has for me every morning, nor waiting on His timing for it. I woke up and was breathing, I can get up out of bed, I can eat, I can walk out my door and not worry about a war happening on my doorstep, I can kiss/love/play with my children and enjoy seeing them smile and hear their laughter, I can go to work and pour Love on everyone I meet. The list can go on and on. When we humble ourselves, we see that there are so many of God’s children out there that would give anything to have these little blessings. We can take the little miracles for granted sometimes. Watching my sister’s journey has opened my eyes to the little miracles in life. She would love to get out of bed, be able to eat without worry, go for walks freely with no pain, get on the ground and play with her babies, be the amazing manager at her work.  I took these little miracles for granted.  😦

We live in such a fast paced world that we don’t STOP and smell the roses. We aren’t seeing what He has and is already doing. When we pass by God’s goodness and His mercies, a little bit of hope can get lost. We do it without even knowing it. Hope deferred makes the heart sick and makes those big miracles seem so impossible. You see it’s the little miracles that happen every second of every minute of our lives that ignite the HOPE for the big miracles! Be thankful for receiving them and praise God with your arms open wide raised to Him! Allow Him to fill the flood gates of HOPE to rise in your hearts so you can pour it on someone! Give all that in which you receive! Knowing He is the God of the impossible and knows every plan and how everything will work out. His timing is perfect for that big miracle! He is hearing every prayer and knows the desires of all of our hearts! I reflect on how many times He has saved my sister life already.  How many ways He made the impossible happen when there seemed no to be no way.  He has turned her situation into a testimony, above all, I have seen Him capture her heart.  :’)   There have been so many little miracles that He has shown us along this journey, I know He will perform the big one we desire.  🙂 He can and He will; He proves it every day!

Take time today and reflect on how many blessings God has given you from the moment you woke up this morning. I pray your heart is filled with thankfulness and that you know how loved you are! I pray Hope arises in all of you lovely ladies and you can bless the socks off of all who you meet today. I pray His love and His light shines through all of you, and I pray God uses you to be someone’s miracle today.  🙂   Peace, Love and Joy.  Amy  xoxo

{Sisters Week!} “Gauvin Girls.”

Written by: Amy Gauvin Dedicated to: Stacey Gauvin-Deacon

Good morning everyone!! First I would like to say, this week has been a blessing reading the blogs about sisterhood Emoji.

When I was asked to write a post for sister week, I knew in my spirit this was a chance to honor my beloved sister Stacey. Stacey and I are three years apart and though it might not seem much of a gap, growing up it seemed like she was soooo grown up and It seemed would never catch up to her.

Amy Gauvin pic with sis weddingWe shared a room almost the whole time living under the same roof.  I am sure most of you all understand the “rules” that came with sharing a  The imaginary line was drawn in the room and if you crossed that border…watch out!!! Stacey was stuck with a little clingy sister(me) that wanted to touch her stuff and do everything she didEmoji.  Ya you could say I was a leach that she couldn’t get rid of without the help of Mom or Dad…lol.  The most funniest memory of my sister and I sharing a room was how well she handled someone getting sick.  I had the flu and I remember getting sick in my bucket beside the bed and as I leaned over to get sick I see a whoosh of my sisters pillow and blankets hightailing it off her bed and out the door….not to return again until I was better!!!  She would get sick at just even the sound of it!!!
When my sister got her own room….to be honest… it sucked…..even though she was in the next room…she was sooo far away it seemed.  I knew she was in her teenage years and she would get away with not having clingy little sister anymore tagging along.  I remember always sitting at her vanity in her room(of course she was gone out with her friends, she would of kicked my butt!lol).  I sat there and played her cassette tape of a mix she made off the radio and I did my hair and makeup like she would.  I sat there and wanted to be just like my big sisterEmoji.  I looked up to her and I still do!

Sister quote amy g
The day came when Stacey moved out of the house…that was another sucky moment.  she would pick me up and I got to have sleepovers at her house and go grocery shopping with her (she always bought me beef jerky as we went through the checkout line).  It helped me feel like she wasn’t so far awayEmoji
Growing up into women and having families of our own,  brought a new relationship of sisterhood that I always wanted.  She has held my hand through every trial I have had.  She never judges me on my decisions and always stood by my side.  She gives me sound advice when I asked her for it.  She is their to pick up pieces when my heart was broken. She encourages me everyday to never give up.  The strength that comes from within her is never ending.  I look up to her in a light of being unshakable. She is my super hero!
My sister is going through the struggle of her life right now.  Her cancer returned unfortunately 😦 Even though she is going through this…she still holds everything together!  She is still my super hero!
I need to be honest with the emotions that came along with her diagnosis.  I was mad, angry, sad, confused…there were times where I questioned God.  How could this happen to my sister? How was I gonna live without her…my super hero that couldn’t be shaken down?  God gave me a sister more precious than gold and everyday is a blessing with her.  I don’t know where I would be if he didn’t bless me with her.  I needed to put my selfishness behind me and step up to the plate like my sister has all these years for me and be there for her when she needs it the most.  I am to lift her up when she is down, be her shoulder when she needs it, be her cheerleader,  be everything for her!
In a blink of an eye….he showed the true meaning of sisters.  She is sewn into my heart and the love we have for each other is never ending.  It is a reciprocating Love that will never go awayEmoji I love You Stacey! I claim now in Jesus name that I will see a miracle happen with my sister! God is healing her as we speak!!!
I want to close in saying this, if you have never had a sister before ladies….YOU DO!  We are all sisters in Christ! Just like he sewn my sister and I together,  God has sewn all of us together in our hearts.

Amy Gauving another SIS pic

Its a path written on all of our lives, to stand together and lift each other up and encourage one another.  Its a reciprocating Love that only woman to woman can understand.  We will never stand alone, we have each otherEmoji How awesome is that!!! Peace Love and Joy XOX

{Worth} Never doubt your Worth.

Written By: Amy Gauvin
WORTH AMYHave you ever questioned your worth? Your worth as a Woman, Mom, Wife, Friend, Employee, Sibling or just simply your worth as a human being?  When this question/dought arises in us…we tend to be compelled, to compare ourselves to whatever brought this question on.
In our society now, there is a world of things to compare ourselves to. We don’t even know, we are doing it sometimes. As an example…you are waiting in line at the checkout, your looking at the stand of magazines and see these gorgeous women on the front cover…with a perfect shape, perfect tan, perfect hair…etc.
We stand there and think to ourselves…hmmm, how can I look like that!?
I have done this from time to time. It actually deminished my self worth. It took me to a place of depression, because I didn’t look like a cover girl! I began to nit pick at all my “flaws”and wanted to change. Really???
Snap out of it Amy!!! I am just as pretty and stunning as those ladies on the magazine! I have alot to offer! God perfectly made me…and all of you BEAUTIFUL ladies 🙂 We each have our own uniqueness about us, which makes us different. He designed each of us with our own gifts…which ladies….makes us all WORTH ALOT! We all gain from one another because of it! Its amazing how He puts us all together like puzzle pieces…We are the same (heart)….but look so different (uniqueness).
I am going to share a story that happened with my daughter. She came home one day, and needed to talk to me about something that happened at school with a boy. I could see it was weighing heavy on her. This boy liked girls that swear…
(I have raised my girls knowing that cussing, is not acceptable, and its not words God would like us to choose.)
My daughter wanted to get his attention and knowing this about him, started swearing that day at school. She knew it just wasn’t right, what she had done.
I asked her why she did, and her response was “she wanted him to like her”.
I continued to ask “Did he end up liking you or did you get his attention?”
She said “No…he was the same as he was before”.
My babygirl doughted her worth….I explained to her that she was feeling “sad” because she changed who she was and who God created her to be for a boy to like her. She wasn’t sad because he didn’t blink an eye at her after she changed for him.
She realized she had grieved the spirit within her. God didn’t want her to change who she was. She learned that day that she is awesome, just the way she is because… God made her special and unique in her own way. Never change who she is for anyone. Always be led by the spirit that lives inside of her and she will shine.
In closing,  I want to say to all of you lovely ladies that you are AMAZING! You are all diamonds in this world! Never loose your uniqueness and self worth for anyone. Never question if your “good enough” or dought your worth. Always be “YOU“! You have so much to offer to this world. Let the spirit inside of you SHINE for everyone to see! You are perfectly and wonderfuly made!
Always remember that! 😉 XOXO Peace, Love and Joy

{Love} His Love.

Written by: Amy Gauvin

Greetings Ladies 🙂 I hope you are all having an amazing day so far! Today I would like to talk about how much our Heavenly Father Loves us❤ I have been a single Mom for 3 1/2 years now. I lived on my own in a house for a year and absolutely loved it!

Times got a little tough and one day out of the blue, my Mom had asked me to move in with her to help us out. She was living by herself and opened her home to my girls and I. I wasn’t so sure..I prayed about it for a month. God had shown me that it was for a reason…even if I didn’t know why…and it will be blessing in the end.

I had to take a leap of faith and trust that he put this on my Moms heart to open her home to us. Also… Lets get real ladies….I haven’t lived with my Mom since I was 16! I had to suck up my “pride” and put my “wants” aside…knowing this is my path. I moved into my Moms house in March of 2014.

While I was living at my Moms…my sister was diagnosed with cancer. I was now starting to see why moving into my Moms was important and seeing Gods plan. My Mom and I could help my sister with everything we had, we were able to because we were living in the same house and could help eachother as well!
I truly was blessed by my Mom. To come home from work and smell Mommas home cooking!! Awesome! She helped me with my girls school work and let me have “me time”. Most of all….our relationship had grown to a whole new covenant❤

The time had come where God was leading me to start my life on my own again. I recently moved into my own place!! This is where God showed me how much he loved me!
I didn’t really have much for my new place…I had the bare essentials. Three weeks prior to moving…

I tithed purposely towards knowing God is going to provide everything I needed! He had shown me in those weeks he was listening and watching! He showed me he was going to give me back what I have lost and more! Double for your trouble! I have been waiting patiently for 3 years for this day…I was excited to see what He was going to do and how!

Ladies, this is how much He loves us…He put it on many peoples heart to bless me. I was blessed with a new 48″inch flat screen T.V., Queen bed, double bed, single bed, new bedroom set, dressers, desks for the girls, dinning room set, lamps, washer and dryer, leather sectional, coffee table, love seat, keurig machine, tools, food and so many little things!

He knew EVERYTHING I needed!! He met every need! His love NEVER fails! If He cares for a little sparrow…how much do you think he cares for you? Trust, Lean and Rely on him and He will provide your every need. He wants to bless His beautiful children because, He LOVES you that much!!

I am excited for this next season of my life! I hope this testimony of His LOVE blesses all of you today!!
Take that leap of Faith…Go on the adventure with Him. Trust Him knowing His Love never fails and He sees the end before you understand it 🙂 In the end you will be blessed❤ Enjoy the ride!!!Love ,Peace and Joy Ladies! Xoxo

{Life}  Curveball.

Written by: Amy Gauvin

Hello ladies! My mission to all of you, is to be real and vulnerable with you. I want to speak straight from my heart, as to what God has done in my life. So here we go!
Life throws us curveballs from time to time…some are caught and some we want to just dodge. My sister was thrown a curveball in August of last year, that she just couldn’t dodge. At age 39, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 bladder cancer. It was a very aggressive cancer. In a matter of months, the tumour had quadrupled in size and spread to other organs. She had an extensive surgery in London, in which they removed her bladder, uterus, and ovaries.

They took a part of her intestine, to make a diversion attached it to her ureters and out her stomach so she could empty her kidneys. She has a urostomy bag now. After healing from surgery, she went through 4-months of very intense chemo. I will admit…it was the scariest thing I have ever been through with her…to see my sister in so much pain and all I could do was pray and to trust in God that prayers were being answered! The strength that my sister had to pull through everyday was admirable. She made it to the end of her chemo in April. The minute they pulled the leads out after her last treatment, she danced her heart out to her favourite song and HIT that gong! It was finished! She had won..cancer had lost!!!!
She went in this past May, to get a CT scan and it came back clean! Praise the Lord! About three weeks ago, she had a pain in her abdomen…she went to emerge and they found a twist in her bowel. Through much prayer, it came loose and she could come home. Four days after she came home…the pain was back and more intense this time. She went back to emerge and they suspected a twist in her bowels again. Eight days, of horrible pain and with out any food going in or out. They decided to go in and see what was happening. It was then, that our family got another curveball…

There are tumors on her bowels. My faith was shaken…to see the hope vanish in my sister in an instant was devastating. All of us went through the process of emotions. We are all back on track knowing it happened once before…it can happen again…It WILL be beaten! The enemy will not win! Through Faith and Prayer! Saying all of this…

I want to share with you where my faith was with myself during that time. You see…watching my sister go through all of what she went through…and how horrible cancer really is. I was there, puffing away on cigarettes…I was willingly catching this curveball! I used “stress” as an excuse to puff away. I realized something a week ago… I sit here and I believe and have faith knowing that God is going to heal my sister of cancer….but I have no faith in believing He could deliver me from smoking? Where is my faith for myself? My sister did nothing to cause this cancer and I am smoking something that causes it…how ridiculous is that!

To think, “nah….it won’t happen to me?” How selfish!  My sister didn’t deserve ANY of this. I watched her go through this KNOWING, she wanted me to quit smoking…because she didn’t want me to get cancer, and I was doing it to myself!

I had been humbled…how am I any more resiliant than my sister who didn’t smoke? It could happen to me and I was helping the enemy take me out…I was destoying Gods temple!
My faith had been restored, in knowing God wanted to take my addiction from me. I give every urge to have a cigarette to Him…because HE is faithful and He is TRUE! Its a feeling to have a cigarette…and false sense of need, this is an open door for the enemy to attack you. Feelings are subject to change, give it to God and the enemy has NO ground to stand on! You are Gods child and Satan can’t have you!

Amy Gauvin pic with sis wedding
I am now smoke free!!! I can now stand in total agreement with my sister knowing that God is going to heal her! He did it once already….And yes,
He will do it again! I am so proud of her and encouraged by her everyday and I know she is the same for me 🙂 Ladies….together we stand in Faith knowing that everything happens for a reason and that our Heavenly Fathers Glory will always prevail! Amen sistas! Blessings, Peace, Love and Joy to you all ❤ xo
Until Next Time,
